I never take a relationship for granted. Whether we've worked together for a month or for a decade, I'll always feel the same urgency and commitment to your project's success.
Chris designed an award-winning book, a complicated project with a million details and technical challenges and Chris tackled every issue with grace, humor, and intelligence. I’d hire him again in a heartbeat.
“The book project Chris edited, designed, and brought to market exceeded every expectation. I wouldn’t have had an Amazon bestseller in its third printing without his guidance and skills.”
“There’s a reason we’ve worked together for nearly twenty years. As our luxury magazine’s local editor and art director, Chris gets it. Exceptional writing, masterful design, always on time.”
I have never met anyone in his industry as intuitive and creative as Chris. His eye for editing and detail is unmatched. He listens to your ideas and vision, and then makes them better.
“Chris always finds a way to capture the best of what we do and make it look great. I especially appreciate how holistically he works, from concept, to writing copy, to graphic design. He’s awesome.”
“His taste level, reliability and desire to innovate when it comes to design are truly world-class. His willingness to be patient and ability to work under deadline pressure have “saved the day” many times.”
Following a three-decade career in marketing and design for luxury retailers, non-profit arts and culture organizations, and private book design clients, I am now focusing on writing.
I will continue to design the occasional book or creative project that celebrates the alchemy of merging ink with paper, but am no longer taking on corporate and institutional clients.
If you have an intriguing book project requiring a high level of visual design, please reach out. I collaborate with clients throughout the United States and in Mexico, with illustrators in New Zealand, publishers in New York and printers in Hong Kong—many of whom I never meet in person. We live in a world made small and efficient through technology.
I have attended the Kenyon Review Writers' Workshop and the San Miguel Writers Conference. I am currently shopping my first book, If Half the Story Is True, an 89,000-word memoir.
